February 13, 2024: World Radio Day.

A year ago, preparations were in full swing for the birth of MIRS, and in Pasiano di Pordenone, the World Radio Day was already being celebrated: it was 2024, the year of the 100th anniversary of the first radio transmission in Italy, the 150th anniversary of the birth of Guglielmo Marconi and the 70th anniversary of the first regular television broadcast in Italy.

The live connection with the Guglielmo Marconi Foundation in Pontecchio Marconi (BO) was important. Dr. Barbara Valotti, curator of the Guglielmo Marconi Museum, expressed her full support and interest in the MIRS initiative, which the Municipality of Pasiano is committed to completing.

At the Gozzi Theatre, a themed performance was held by Barabao Teatro in collaboration with Ortoteatro. There were also guided tours of the collection of Pier Giorgio Vendramini, which at the time was on display at the Parco dei Mulini in Pasiano di Pordenone, awaiting placement in the prestigious location of the current MIRS.
